The Lesher Center for the Arts is the home to a dynamic arts education program.

With your support, inclusive educational and outreach programs promote wellness and reach every age and income level.

Since 2008, these programs have offered more than 60,000 East Bay students, teachers, and chaperones the opportunity to experience high-quality live performances and visual arts exhibits.

We can make these opportunities possible by working closely with our corporate, foundational, and individual partners.

Our educational outreach programs are designed to increase access to students, including various schools with diverse economic backgrounds and high percentages of students enrolled in the federal free or reduced-price lunch program.

From live performances to art gallery tours at the Bedford Gallery, DRAA is honored to witness sparks of joy and creativity at the Lesher Center for the Arts through our Arts Access program.

DRAA works with an educational specialist to complement school time programming by developing performance activity kits. These study guides are specific to school shows, so teachers can use them as valuable in-class learning opportunities before and after their students come to the Lesher Center. Study Guides support California Common Core Standards and include a Theatre Etiquette Guide and comprehensive information about the production, discussion questions, and activities to help teachers prepare students for what they will see and reflect on what they have experienced.
